Høsten shop is a new model of conscious “smart shopping”, in which a lot of attention is paid to the value of what we buy. The fusion of Spanish and Danish ideas and values is the basis of an intelligent and practical shopping experience, in which to find the best design at the lowest possible price.
Høsten shop meets the needs of customers while providing an enjoyable shopping experience. The shops are designed in order to offer a pleasant and calm oasis within the effervescent city, always taking into account and paying attention to environmental considerations since no harmful materials are used in the interior design of the stores and the amount of product’s packaging is limited.
The lighting design for the store needed to accurately meet the conceptual and corporate identity parameters of the brand, combining a high quality aesthetical solution, at low cost and with a high degree of energy efficiency.
The lighting solution is designed according to the store’s Interior Design and the product display system, inside stacked wooden boxes.
By using LED strips of light, attached to the interior of the boxes, and of course not visible, light is concentrated on the products displayed, specifically highlighting them and attracting consumer’s attention towards them in a very effective and comfortable way.
We have used high lumen output LEDs, in warm colour temperature and with a high colour-rendering index. The use of this system not only represents an attractive and low cost solution, easy and cheap to maintain, but it also ensures significant energy savings with respect to traditional retail lighting solutions and avoids UV and IR rays on the products, to prevent damaging.
The general space of the shop is kept in a pleasant semi-darkness, with accent lighting recessed in the ceiling for specific areas such as ramps, stairs and cash register, achieving the sense of calmness required by the customer, with a soft general lighting level adequate to transit the shop in comfort and safety.
The overall result of the store is a dramatic and very comfortable space with no glare and a high visual appeal, in which the products on sale have the leading role.
Since the first store of the chain is located in one of the busiest streets in the city of Madrid, where there are many shops one after another and a very high level of urban lighting, the shop windows’ lighting is critical and has a double function: to highlight the products displayed in them with precision and versatility and to draw attention to the store over the other shops nearby.
For this reason, we have designed a dual lighting system, on one hand, accent light on the products displayed in the window with warm white light, and on the other hand, fill the inside of the shop windows with corporate colour light to attract the attention of passersby.
